As former proprietor of Arkenfield Equestrian Centre, it was imperative that I had a team around me that were forward thinking, full of initiative, and capable of dealing with problems and issues that a large establishment of equines and people was sure to bring.
Jane worked for me firstly as a groom and instructor when she joined me in November 2004. It soon became increasingly apparent that wouldnt suffice her capabilities and indeed her ambition, to which in February 2005, I was happy to promote her to the position of yard manager, a position she took on with relish.
She was adored by her clients in the riding school, treat with respect by my liveries, the staff and all the people she dealt with on competition days. I always felt safe in the knowledge that when I was away, my yard was in very good hands, something that in this day and age is indeed a rarity.
Understandly Jane took the decision in 2008, to leave the security of a position which she had thrived at, to branch out on her own, and I am delighted to say, with her fantastic work ethic and superb people skills, it was the right decision, and one which I am very proud of her for.
In conclusion, over the four years that Jane worked for me, she was a complete breath of fresh air, absolutely excellent!
